Out of the Box

In "Out of the Box," Arthur Joura, Bonsai Curator at The North Carolina Arboretum, takes a bonsai-in-training from a grow box and transplants it into a bonsai container, continuing the next level of design development of the process he introduced in Part I of the series, "Harvesting a Field-Grown Maple." This second video of the series, "Out of the Box," shows what happens in several years when a bonsai-in-training is ready to take another significant step toward becoming a presentable piece.
